Here’s some images from a recently completed rewire in Hurworth little area just on the outskirts of Darlington. It is 3 bedroom property which was occupied however the client moved out for the week. This makes a massive difference when taking on a full rewire as each night we don’t have to be overly worried about getting the property back into a liveable state. They also had a large garage which enabled them to move the majority of their belongings out of the house saving it from any dust. We always cover the belongings however it can be very dusty and it just seems to settle for days even when the work has been fully completed it feels like you’re constantly dusting the sides down.
We started the work Monday morning and finished Thursday afternoon, I feel like it took us slightly longer as one day there was a plumber on site installing radiators and to be honest it didn’t help anybody. Ideally we need to have free roam of the property as they’re tools and materials everywhere, but we fully understand that this was beneficial for the client so we worked together to get the desired outcome. The rewire itself was fairly basic, sockets and lights with some spots in the bathroom. The kitchen had only recently been installed so we had to be very careful not to damage anything whilst rewiring all the cabling.
The accessories we used throughout were Hager including the consumer unit which was comprised of individual RCBOs and a surge protection device. Once the work was complete it was tested and all the relevant certification was sent via email.
