LED lighting upgrades are something we have been doing a lot of at the moment in Darlington.
More often than not this is down to the rise in energy prices and homeowners wanting to reduce their bill as much as possible.

We often install recessed LED spot lights as part of a lighting upgrade- mostly in kitchens and bathrooms. This is often from where there was initially only one fitting in the centre of the room, making the room much brighter.
There are two ways this can be done, firstly by lifting up the carpets and floorboards in the room above and running the wiring through the floor joists. This way would reduce damage on the ceiling below as we know almost exactly where each joist is so that we don't drill into them from below.
Secondly, there can often be a bathroom with a tiled floor above and it just wouldn’t make sense to install the cables from above. This is where we would make small incisions next to the joists from below and then run the cables in from below. Once complete, we re-insert the plasterboard ready for some minor skimming.
