Electrical Testing

I recently had a call from a customer saying that they were having issue with the fuse box tripping out intermittently. This type of fault can be one of the hardest to diagnose as the fault might only appear in a test meter when it trips out. If you're not there at that exact time it can be really difficult to pin point.

Safety certificates are vitally important for any homeowner wether it’s a private home or a rental. The test will determine the condition of the wiring and accessories throughout.

One part of the test is a visual inspection I tend to do this first, I feel it gives me an idea on what to expect when testing. Things I’m looking for are broken or damaged fittings and fixtures, loose switches and loose earth bonding etc.

Smoke detectors are important and should ideally be installed in every domestic property throughout the country. If you own a rental property then it is a legal requirement that you have in date battery or hard wired smoke detectors in place. 
 

There are different grades of smoke detection within the domestic setting. These are know as LD1, LD2 and LD3.
